Wildland Fire
The objective of this research is to develop a simulation strategy for creating a 3D virtual fire laboratory that integrates 3D fire scene modeling with radiative transfer models for large-scale, open-landscape vegetation fires. The ultimate goal is to enhance Earth Observation fire monitoring products by gaining insights into the impact of flame and plume composition on radiative transfer processes, which are crucial for remote sensing products used in fire monitoring.
