Major accidents modelling and studies

We work on mathematical modeling and prediction of effects and consequences of fires (pool,jet and flash fires) of gaseous fuels (propane) and liquid fuels (gasoline, diesel), of explosions (semi-confined gas explosions, BLEVEs, vessels explosions) flammable and / or toxic clouds (Schleder et. al. 2015) and (Hemmatian et al. 2017).

Risk analysis

We develop new methodologies to identify and analyse technological risk (frequencies, probabilities) in process plants and in transport of dangerous goods (Ramírez-Camacho et al. 2015) and (Ramírez-Camacho et al. 2016).

 Emergency management

Development of new hybrid methodologies, based on artificial intelligence, CFD simulations and real data for a dynamic management of emergencies

Processes optimization

We develop new methodologies to optimize plants and operations including risk analysis  (Bernechea and Arnaldos, 2013 and Medina et al., 2012).
