Center for Technological Risk Studies. CERTEC

The Center for Technological Risk Studies (CERTEC) is a research group whose objectives are research and education in the various fields of risk and safety. We develop educational, research and technology transfer programs, for the public and private sector, both at local and international level. CERTEC was founded in 1993 as a joint initiative of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. It has its premises at UPC Campus Diagonal Besòs (Barcelona), a research and education hub for knowledge, innovation and technology transfer. It belongs to the Department of Chemical Engineering of UPC and to CER-H2 (Specific Center for Hydrogen Research) research network.
